Financial Assistance

The Helping Hearts for Heroes Corporation Financial Assistance Program was established to provide short-term, emergency financial support to veterans in need. The primary purpose of this program is to help veterans maintain stability and independence, thereby reducing the risk of homelessness. By offering carefully managed financial assistance, Helping Hearts for Heroes, Corp. seeks to ensure that veterans can overcome temporary hardships without losing access to essential services or shelter.

Who Can Apply:

  • Veterans only (dependents are not eligible)

  • Must provide proof of service (DD-214 or Veteran ID)

  • Must show proof of financial need (utility bill, lease, invoice, etc.)

Program Limits:

  • Assistance available twice per year (minimum 6 months apart)

  • Maximum of $500 total per year

  • Payments go directly to service providers (landlord, utility company)

How to Apply:

  • Veterans may apply directly

  • Community agencies or individuals may recommend a veteran

  • Applications must include a copy of the invoice or billing statement

To maintain fairness and accountability, all applications for financial assistance must be reviewed and discussed by Helping Hearts for Heroes, Corp., before a decision is made. All requests will be considered fairly, without preference or bias. Additionally, Helping Hearts for Heroes, Corp. oversees the disbursement of funds to guarantee that every dollar awarded is used appropriately and effectively for its intended purpose.
