My Story

During his 20 years of service as a Nuclear Machinist Mate, Jim was stationed on the USS Virginia (SSN 777), USS George Washington (CVN 73), and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). His shore assignments included serving as a Navy recruiter in Port Charlotte from January 2009 to October 2011 and working at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard from February 2020 until he retired and returned to Port Charlotte in 2022.

After retiring, Jim transitioned to a new career as a Health, Life, and Annuity broker, serving the Southwest Florida area. He is actively involved in the community, participating in the North Port Chamber of Commerce—where he contributes to the Government Relations Committee, Business & Economic Development Committee, and the 2025 Leadership Class. Additionally, he is a member of OCEAN, a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting senior services with resources in Charlotte County, and he is involved with the Charlotte County Veteran's Council.

In this next chapter, Jim's primary focus is on building strong relationships and fostering a close-knit local community.
